By the end of this module, you will understand how blind and partially sighted people live independent lives and do everyday activities like everyone else, sometimes using creative methods or tools that work for them as individuals.

Misunderstandings about independence can lead to low expectations, or barriers being created. Understanding independence helps challenge assumptions and lays the foundation for respectful, inclusive behaviour that removes barriers.
